The Prince's Trust Mosaic Mentor programme works with secondary schools, with groups of up to 30 students, aged between 11 and 18 years old. These students are mentored by you in small groups (of between 3 and 6) and participate in a range of activities which will directly enhance their ability to succeed in future educational and professional environments. You will be a positive role model working with the same group of students each week.
The role of the mentor:
•Planning how to engage with mentees in a creative way
•Supporting the educational and personal development in young people
•Guiding young people to help them set, meet and exceed their goals in life The programme involves a commitment to a 3-hour training session, followed by 7 hours over one or two academic terms.
About Prince's Trust - Mosaic Mentors
Mosaic offer mentoring programmes in schools; creating opportunities for 11 to 18-year-olds who are growing up in our most deprived communities. With the support from trained volunteer mentors acting as role models, Mosaic programmes aim to bridge the aspirations-attainment gap by linking young people with inspirational role models and helping boost their confidence, self-efficacy and long-term employability.
