Joy of Sound runs weekly year-round participatory music sessions, and regular combined arts projects.
Volunteers can help to bring people together as co-creators to enjoy music and arts. Through these activities, we share the many personal, social, health and wellbeing benefits that inclusive society can bring.
Volunteers assist with all aspects of workshop set up and delivery including: preparation of workshop space, music instruments cleaning, preparation, tuning and stringing - work with workshops facilitator/s delivering sessions - assist post session clearance and pack up
Volunteers will be introduced and encouraged to participate in all aspects the improvisational music making sessions that involve the gradual and experiential learning of award winning inclusive approaches to vocal and instrumental improvisation.
You can join our local Notting Hill project team at the Salvation Army Hall on Portobello Road any Thursday from 9.30am-12pm - to assist with set up and delivery of workshops.
