Nightstop Host volunteer
1 Thorpe Close, Ladbroke Grove

A Nighstop Host provides a spare room, a warm meal and access to washing facilities for a young person one night by night basis. The volunteers can choose flexible dates, so they might host once a month, once a week, or on a more frequent basis. There is no pressure on hosts and it is completely their decision when they choose to host.
We offer emergency accommodation for Low risk young people between the ages of 16-25, who are in times of crisis and are unable to stay at home for a multitude of reasons from violence to family breakdowns.
They are placed with our hosts, who are trained volunteers based all over London that have the young person in their spare room for the night. They provide dinner, a place to wash, a bed and breakfast and then the next morning the young person returns to the agency in which they are working with. We work closely with the young people to empower them to become independent and have access to a more secure future.

Currently, our team at Nightstop, are trying to inform as many people about our service as we can. Many organisations and young people don’t even know we exist and we are gradually trying to change this. Also, we want to spread awareness of the scheme, by informing the general public as we are always on the look out to find new hosts.
