Chair Based Exercise / Walking Support Volunteers

Age UK are recruiting volunteers to support individuals to complete a series of chair based exercises in their own home to help them improve their mobility, strength and independence or to accompany them on a short walk in their neighbourhood to help restore their confidence following a setback such as a fall or stay in hospital. The commitment is for one hour per week for 10 weeks (weekdays only) on an agreed day and time.

You will need to have: Good communication skills
> Have the ability to be welcoming, friendly and polite
> Reliable whith good timekeeping
> Experience of working with older people would be desirable
and an interest in health and wellbeing essential.

We welcome volunteers who can speak other languages such as: Spanish, Italian, French, Arabic, Farsi and Bengali.
