Information and Advice Volunteer

Can you give information and advice clearly and simply? If so, Age UK are currently recruiting volunteers.
The purpose of the role is to provide basic Information and advice on housing and welfare benefits and assist with form filling via face-to-face, or on the telephone. Local knowledge and experience of providing information and advice is very beneficial.

Desirable skills include:
-Referring and signposting clients to additional sources of help,
-Being able to deal with members of the public and professionals in a courteous and professional
manner is essential, with good communication skills, both verbal and written
-Experience of working with older people.
