Organisation VCKC 32 provide holistic advice in ares of social law - this means helping people access benefits , manage on a limited income or secure accommodation. we provide clients with practical support and advice on challenging decisions. Our educational roles involves advising client how they can improve their situation and , hopefully , avoid indebtedness or losing their homes.

Organisation VCKC 32 is a key local community service and you'll be an important part of their team, working with staff and other volunteers.

As their Receptionist you'll need to be friendly and courteous face to face and on the telephone; you'll take visitors' enquiries and refer them on internally and externally. You'll also help with accessing and updating the databases, and using other customary office IT (e.g. Word, XL).

You should be able to work on your own initiative whilst always being part of the team.
There will be scope to develop your role and take on more responsibility as you grow into the organisation.

This is interesting and important work helping people in their daily lives.

You'll receive appropriate training so this role will be excellent experience for anyone looking to develop their general office skills.

The minimum time commitment requested is fourteen hours per week for six months. Hopefully you'll want to stay longer!

Nucleus is an independent legal advice centre providing free, confidential impartial advice on most matters. They can provide assistance and representation at court or tribunal in our specialist areas of work. These include:

1. Benefits - e.g. income support, job seekers allowance, disability benefit etc.
2. Debt - e.g. credit, council tax etc.
3. Employment - e.g. sex or race discrimination etc.
4. Housing - e.g. homelessness, disrepair etc.
5. Immigration - e.g. asylum, nationality etc.

They mainly work with clients living in the SW5, SW7, SW10, W8, & W14 areas.
