TPT volunteers are matched with a blind or partially sighted person who would benefit from companionship and needs someone to come with them to a social or leisure activity. We try to match people with similar interests so that everyone gets to have a good time. All activities are in in London. Main Aspects of the role • Making arrangements with the service user for the activity • Meeting and travelling together on public transport • Guiding and supporting the service user to take part in the activity and joining in yourself • Travelling with service user back to the meeting point • Submitting a brief report to the volunteer coordinator after the event (can be done on-line or on the phone).
