Trustees and Board Members
Kensington and Chelsea Volunteer Centre
The Opportunity
We are looking for volunteers to become board members and trustees for the Volunteer Centre.
Becoming a trustee is a responsible position with big rewards. As well as making a difference to the community, becoming a board member will accelerate your own development.
We are a very friendly and collaborative board, and have lots of healthy debate.
This is a chance for you to enhance your leadership and business skills and discover new networks of people and organisations.
The Organisation
Kensington and Chelsea Volunteer Centre exist to champion rewarding volunteering opportunities and promote volunteering as a force for change and social good.
We look for volunteers who want to make a difference, helping them to find organisations within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in which to become involved. Along with our core services, which are available to everyone, we have projects that involve prisoners, people with physical, sensory or learning disabilities as well as people with mental health issues. In addition we have a Good Practice officer who works with organisations developing their capacity to manage volunteers, and also the New Opportunities Team, who work very closely with job centres finding placements for people who are out of work.
