The Opportunity
Havengrove is looking for a Chairperson who can help us achieve our mission and provide effective leadership for the Board and Management Team, ensuring the charity is effectively governed.
You will need to commit to Havengrove and devote the necessary time and effort to the role. In addition, you will require independent and objective judgment, diplomacy; as well as a willingness to think creatively and speak your mind.
Ideally, the Chair will also have skills and experience in the following areas:
> Experience/Demonstrable commitment to the third sector and / or housing related support/Supporting people.
> Human Resources/Employment knowledge.
> Networking and relationship building.
> Experience of charity regulation and governance.
We are particularly keen to achieve a more diverse board of trustees, and we welcome applications from all sections of the community.
We will pay trustees travel expenses and provide an induction into Havengrove's work.

The Organisation
Havengrove is a small local charity that provides accommodation for nine homeless pregnant women and new mothers. Havengrove staff have over sixty years experience. Havengrove is unique due to its ability to cater to each mother's specific needs and ensures the highest level of support for each individual.
