The Opportunity
We are looking for people to join our Management Committee .
Have you got an interest in young children and/or the needs of families with young children?
Can you think creatively about service delivery?
Or perhaps you have an interest and understanding of the local community and of community based activities.
This is an opportunity to develop the work of our organisation and to volunteer in a leadership role.
As well as working for a really worthwhile cause you will also learn about how a community service is provided and how boards direct the work of a charity.
The management committee meets once every two months. So if you think you can help get in touch.
The Organisation
LWCCN works with families with young children from the local community to provide a flexible range of services which support and enhances their parenting and quality of life.
The Nursery is for chidren aged 1 to 3 years at Grenfell; We have a drop-in services for parents/carers and children at Ilys Booker Centre, we run Little Wormwood Scrubs Playhut and at RPT; we have out of school services for 3 to 7 year olds based at St Annes and Maxilla Children Centres and an escort service for local schools; As well as all of these other activities we run a range of training and fun activities for families and children to get involved in.
