The Opportunity
We are looking for a new trustee to join our board, you will be part of an established committee advising the centre with business support.
Charity trustees are the people who serve on the governing body of a charity. They may be known as trustees, directors, board members, governors or committee members. Charity trustees are responsible for the general control and management of the administration of a charity.
This is an opportunity to learn about leadership in charities as well as to make a difference in your community.
The Organisation
The Under 5 Centre has been working in the community supporting local families with children under five years for the past 30 years.
Well established in the heart of the Worlds End Estate we provide a number of childcare and family support services.
Our aim is to advance the health, wealth and social welfare of parents, carers and under fives living on and around Worlds End Estate, through the provision of a range of free and affordable play, education and family support services
Skills / Qualifications
To have a clear understanding of how small businesses run and the issues that arise.
To have some understanding with regard to financial controls.
An understanding of the childcare sector is helpful but not essential.
