The Opportunity
Urban Eye requires Trustees with skills, contacts and expertise to advise and support the management team in a practical way to expand and develop the organisation.
We are looking for three categories of Trustees:
1. Trustees who are high profile individuals who can use their influence and contacts to open doors and do not wish to be active in the day to day running of the organisation.
2. Trustees who can contribute specific skills and expertise and wish to be active in the day-to-day running of the organisation.
3. Trustees with a network of friends, colleagues and business connections who wish to make and approach others to make, charitable donations to the innovate work of the Urban Eye.
The Organisation
Urban Eye is a community-led environmental design charity formed in 2000 by N. Kensington residents with a vision to transform run-down parts of the inner-city and involve people, through regeneration, design and public art. They provide a true investment to the area. Projects range from mosaics and murals to large scale artist-led and multi-partner regeneration schemes on neglected structures (such as bridges, flyovers, tunnels and pedestrian passageways) that aim to deliver high quality work that will stand the test of time. Skills / Qualifications
A. Fundraising
Raising core funds to employ our team and funds to carry out specific projects.
B. Marketing
Professional expertise in raising the profile of Urban Eye through Marketing, PR and Media Relations.
C. Information Technology
Support and development.
D. Project Management
We are increasingly carrying out large contracts.
E. Design
Design experience with a knowledge of industrial materials.
F. Graphic Design
Document lay out, good knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop.
