V-Youth Project
vinvolved is a national programme for 16 – 25 year-olds who volunteer their time to do something they enjoy in their local community.
The Central London vinvolved Team can help you find exciting and innovative opportunities that reflect your passions, interests and aspirations. You decide when and how often you volunteer, and we will provide support to find your ideal volunteering opportunity. Our six-strong Team operates in 7 Central London boroughs: Wandsworth, Southwark, Lambeth, Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Islington, and Camden.
What Are the Benefits?
- You’ll be making a valuable difference to your community
- You’ll gain new skills and develop existing skills - you might even realise that you have skills that you weren’t aware of!
- You’ll meet new people and make new friends
- You’ll build up your confidence and self-esteem
- You’ll be able to achieve awards and gain accreditation that boost your CV and look great on job applications
- You will have fun!
Accreditation and Recognition
When joining the project you’ll receive our vwelcome pack, which includes a log book to help you track your volunteering hours and all the contributions you make. You will be recognised for any volunteering you do through our vinvolved certificate, and if you complete 50 hours of volunteering activities you will receive our v50 Award.
On completion of the 50 hour Award you’ll have the opportunity to apply for one of five Impact Awards based on you passions, skills, community, campaigning, and leadership.
If you want to take a step further, you can be accredited for your volunteering. This will give you formal recognition in addition to the v awards, and can take the form of AQAs, Duke of Edinburgh Service Awards, and Youth Achievement Awards. One of our Advisors will be able to help you consider the accreditation options and decide on a route that feels right for you.
