V-Youth Project

V-Youth Project

Vinvolved Teams develop innovative, high-quality volunteering opportunities that tap into young people’s passions and interests, with a focus on areas such as sport, music, art, and the environment. Our team is part of the national vinvolved volunteering programme, designed to inspire young people aged 16-25 to get positively involved in their local communities.

Benefits of Getting vinvolved with Young Volunteers

  • Skilled, motivated, creative young people will add fresh energy to their work.
  • Young people will bring knowledge, ideas and new perspectives to their organisation.
  • Youth volunteers can help them to reach a wider cross-section of the community and increase the impact of their work.
  • Involving young volunteers will give them an opportunity to review the general capacity and needs of their organisation, and develop new support structures where necessary.
  • Welcoming a younger age group into their work environment will enhance the diversity and accessibility of their organisation, and develop the social awareness of their staff.

What we can offer you

  • Training and support to help ensure that they are ready to involve young volunteers with the recommended measures in place.
  • Support in creating and developing volunteering opportunities that will excite and appeal to young people.
  • Follow-up advice and reviews of volunteer placements, to help establish youth involvement long-term within their organisation.
  • Ongoing support for the young people they involve throughout their placement in their organisation.
  • The opportunity to share resources and good practice by becoming part of a youth volunteering forum.

  2. Assess the needs of the organisation, carry out a simple ‘health check’, and agree on how to take the partnership forward.
  3. Create or develop meaningful youth volunteering opportunities.
  4. Find young people that suit their needs, welcome them into their organisation, and enjoy witnessing the fantastic impact on their work.
  5. Seek additional support and advice about involving young volunteers from the Central London vinvolved Team.
