Here are three different training opportunities available to Volunteer Manager, so make most of them!
1) Capacity Builders – Strand C: Volunteer Management Program
Effective management skills can solve many problems, strengthen your competencies, overcome challenges and help develop your strategic vision.
The Capacity Builders – Strand C: Volunteer Management Program will take trainees through the National Occupational Standard for Volunteer Managers. This is a scheme to support volunteer management skills development and there are bursaries of £1950.00 available to fully fund your training.

2) Greater London Volunteering Management Course
Today’s project managers and teams must deliver under increasing pressure. Organising scarce resources, managing tight deadlines and generating maximum team performance are key aspects of effective project management.
This free support course is valuable for managers who want to manage and deliver successful projects.
Those new to management as well as those interested in improving their current management skills would benefit from this course.

3) CVS Network training- Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector
Preparing to teach in the Lifelong sector – Starting on 12 of May

Central London CVS Network has commissioned the Workers' Educational Association to deliver two streams of PTLLS programme. PTLLS is a first teaching qualification and will provide you with an introduction to the principles of adult teaching and learning.

Resource for Informal Adult learning is supported by Becta and Bis, a national online resource for Informal Adult Learning, as envisaged in the Learning Revolution White Paper.
The cost for Central London CVS Network members is £75 per person. Other voluntary/community and infrastructure organisations based in Central London will be charged £150. For organisations outside Central London, the cost is £250.
NCVO and Barclays Leadership Programme 2010/2011 deadline for application is 30th April
The 'Get Inspiration in leadership' programme in voluntary and community sector with NCVO and Barclays Leadership Programme 2010/2011 and get advice and training development. You can improve your financial skills with a free training from the Financial Services Authority.
