What can you do to help the Haiti disaster
At the moment the major charities are asking for donations and their fundraising departments are keen for people to do street collections or organise events to raise funds. Very soon there will be a slew of events to attend.
Unicef: have resources that you can download at www.unicef.org.uk/emergencyfundraising Which includes posters and bucket wraps as well as an event form that can be completed and returned to our fundraising team for guidance and advice.
Action Aid: Call 020 7561 7516 to find out how you can get involved
Save the children: Are looking for emergency fundraisers, people to donate good quality stock, for their shops and shop volunteers for more information click here and complete their online form
Disasters and Emergency Committee: The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) seeks volunteer administrators to work in our London office for a few hours several times a week to support members of staff in our donations, finance and appeals departments. Volunteers should be able to commit themselves for a period of at least three months. Download an application form here:

DONATION DRIVE 23 January 2010 Community Progressive Vision in association with UHUK is holding a Donation Drive to collect necessary items for Haiti such as: medical supplies, blankets, clothing and shoes, (please ensure attire is weather appropriate). They would also welcome volunteers to assist with collection and sorting. Light refreshments and live Haitian music will be provided.
