Volunteer photography exhibition goes on tour in 2010
Following a brief but well received show in the Tabernacle, our photography exhibition is moving to the GLA before it begins a tour of London Libraries and other community spaces.
The exhibition aims to make volunteering more accessible to all kinds of people. The portraits include people from all walks of life doing all kinds of things and each portrait is accompanied by the volunteer's personal story of how and why they became involved in volunteering.
The images and stories show that:
- Volunteering can change your life in some way, shape or form
- Anyone can volunteer, no matter what their background or circumstances
- Volunteering is a positive process
- Volunteers gain lots personally from the experience
The exhibition showcases the work of Jason Wen, a photographer who has volunteered for many charities all over the world.
