Nominate your organisation for one of our prestigious awards and you could also end up winning some cash, some training as well as some promotional photography of your organisation. Find out about our awards below.
Volunteering Excellence Awards
Along with our Make a Difference Awards we will also be presenting the Lady Goodman Award for Excellence in Volunteer Management, the Inclusive Volunteering Award and the Good Practice Volunteering Award.
Along with the award winning organisations will each receive a number of other prizes.
The winners of the Lady Goodman Award for all-round Excellence in Volunteer Management will receive:
- Lady Goodman Award;
- Framed certificate;
- Free in-house training in any volunteer development related subject of your choice;
- £500 to spend as you wish;
- £30 for submitting volunteer.
To be nominated for this award your volunteers must submit nomination forms on your behalf. The Volunteer Centre will shortlist three organisations, then the successful organisation is chosen by a panel at the Volunteer Centre.
The Winners of the Inclusive Volunteering Award for organisations who involve socially excluded or traditionally disadvantaged individuals and groups will win:
- The Inclusive Volunteering Award;
- A framed certificate;
- Free in-house training or consultancy on any volunteer development related subject of choice e.g. Equalities Policy Development;
- £100 to spend as you wish.
If you feel that your organisation works in a particularly inclusive way with volunteers, mentors and befrienders, you could win this award! Let us know that you believe your organisation deserves this award before the closing date on the 21st of May. The Volunteer Centre Awards Panel will decide on the winning organisation.
The Winner of the Good Practice Volunteering Award for Innovative Good Practice in a specific area of volunteering e.g. recruitment procedures, will receive:
- The Good Practice Award;
- A framed certificate;
- Free in-house training on any volunteer development related subject of your choice e.g. website accessibility;
- £100 to spend as you wish.
If you think that your organisation is working in a particularly innovative way you could win this award. Let us know before the deadline on the 21st of May; the Volunteer Centre Awards Panel will decide on the winning organisation.
