Trustee Recruitment Event

Come to our recruitment event on the 9th of July and meet the charities that are looking for volunteers, talk to the officers and current trustees about what it means to be a board member and find out more about getting involved in charities at board level.
At the event you can:
- Meet local charities looking for board members.
- Pick up resources on becoming a board member.
- Find out about the training that is available for new trustees.
- Talk to staff and trustees about how you can get involved.

The project was piloted in 2008 and was a huge success, click here to find out more about the project. The Trustee Recruitment Fair held last year attracted over 60 members of the public interested in becoming trustees, many with a variety of valuable skills and experience to offer. As a result thirteen local organisations were able to recruit new trustees and the project has provided them with the support to fulfil their roles effectively.
Please drop in and see us. Bring your CV, or be prepared to speak to organisations about your skills and qualifications.
The 2009 trustee recruitment fair will take place on the evening of Thursday 9 July at The Lighthouse, from 6.30 – 8.30pm.
