Printing Pages

Our pages use frames. Frames are a way of delivering pages which divide a page up into several smaller independent sub-pages (called the ‘frame-set’) and then fill them with material. We've done this largely to help volunteers to contribute to the site, without having to worry about disturbing the navigation. Most browsers beyond version 5 can print from frames, but here are some ideas if you have any problems...

Netscape 3
Windows:
Click in the frame you want to print. From the menu bar, select ‘File>Print Frame’
Macintosh: Click in the frame you want to print. From the menu bar, select ‘File>Print’
Netscape 4
Windows: Windows users can right-click in the frame they wish to print, select ‘Open Frame in New Window’ and then print.
Macintosh: Click in the frame you want to print. From the menu bar, select ‘File>Print’
Internet Explorer 3
Windows: There does not seem to be a simple way of printing frames
Macintosh: Click in the frame you want to print. From the menu bar, select ‘File>Print’
Internet Explorer 4
Windows: From the menu bar, select ‘Print’ and then specify the frame from the dialogue box. Alternatively right-click in the frame you wish to print and then select “print” from the pop-up menu.
Macintosh: Click in the frame you want to print. From the menu bar, select ‘File>Print’
Internet Explorer 5
Windows: From the menu bar, select ‘Print’. You should now be able to choose to print the frames individually, as laid out on screen, or the selected frame only. Click anywhere in a frame to make it the selected frame.
Macintosh: Click in the frame you want to print. From the menu bar, select ‘File>Print’.
