Lady Goodman Award

Portrait of Lady Goodman In recognition of her long association with us, the Volunteer Bureau has launched the Lady Goodman Award to recognise and reward excellence in volunteering.

This is presented to a Volunteer Involving Organisation (VIO) at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Awards Ceremony.

Examples of applications that might be put forward

Innovative volunteer programmes ­ unique volunteering schemes that have provided solutions to local issues, new ways of involving user- group and volunteer.
Marketing and promotion – new, exciting ways of raising awareness of volunteering in your local community.
Generating interest from under-represented groups.
Good practice and training – development of volunteers and volunteer programmes through excellent support, supervision, training and skills building

Organisations have to nominate themselves; the judging panel will evaluate the entries and choose a winner.
The prize worth £500 of electrical office equipment will be awarded e.g. a digital camera.

Nominations should be sent to the Executive Director
